Why are sales missing from Land Registry?

Why do not all "sold prices" appear in that section of this and other websites, are buyers able to instruct the land registry to withold this figure. I have a property in mind, it sold in 2010 for £130k then in 2011 for £170k the lower figure is never shown.

  • They do not seem to show auctioned property. Possibly because they consider it was not at full market value. Although what could be more "market" than a public auction?

  • Hello - I think this query was answered but the link "quip" previously provided is below again. To clarify, Price Paid Data on the Land Registry excludes: > Sales that have not been lodged with HM Land Registry; > Sales that were not for market value; > Transfers, conveyances, assignments or leases at a premium with nominal rent, which are: - ‘Right to buy’ sales at a discount; - Subject to an existing mortgage; - To effect the sale of a share in a property, for example, a transfer between parties on divorce; - By way of a gift; - Under a compulsory purchase order; - Under a court order; - To Trustees appointed under Deed of appointment; > Vesting Deeds Transmissions or Assents of more than one property.
