Asking price between £55,000 and £65,00

We're interested in a property which was reduced by £10,000 in December last year. Not sure what the price range means. What price would be acceptable to offer as we we're thinking of offering around £45,000.

  • If you think it is worth 45,000 offer that. That is nearly 20% below 55,000 and 30% less than 65,00 which I assume was the price before the reduction in December. It hasn't sold in three months even after a 15% reduction so it was, and is, overpriced. Of course your offer will probably be rejected, the vendors expectations are unrealistic, and the agent must be desperate to get the instruction in taking it on at an overvaluation of more than 10%. But if you think it is only worth 45,000 then there is no reason to pay more.

  • You are free to offer anything you feel comfortable with financially. Worse thing they can say is "no".
