Renting with bad credit rating

I'm looking for a flat with my partner who has a bad credit rating. We have no one that can guarantor but we both hold jobs. One being full-time and the other being part-time, bringing in a total of about £2k a month. Are we able to find such a place with no credit checks, where we can rent in Dunstable? If so where? £500-700p/m is our budget.Thanks.

  • You can also pre-pay a few months ahead if you can save to help avoid the credit problem. I would talk to some local agents/landlords see if they know of an option

  • Hi Emily, I've often seen this question get asked whether it’s possible to rent or even apply for mortgage if some credit in the past has been bad or adverse, it does certainly make things more difficult but it’s not impossible. I've made a blog post detailing all the opitions available to you or anyone in the same boat. If you need anymore advice don't hesitate to contact me as this is why I'm here in the community. Kind Regards, Jonathan. :)
