How much notice to quit?

Hi, I need somewhere to rent while looking for a place to buy as my buyers are hassling me. But I need to give just a months notice. Is this possible?

  • Yes, if you agree with the landlord in advance and a clause is entered into the contract. Harringtons Lettings

  • I'd suggest you look for a holiday let as opposed to a fixed term contract. Not many landlords will want to let a property for such a short period as it is costly to them. Could you stay with a friend which would be cheaper but might give them some income? You could advertise for a room, short-term let basis, and put any furniture you have in storage. Look on Gumtree. Hope all goes well! Make sure you exchange contracts with your buyers before agreeing to any further financial commitment

  • Have you thought of serviced accomodation? It tends to be better than taking a property on for a longer period or paying for a holiday let which may work out more expensive Indigo Sales and Lettings
