  • Hi Tugrul, As you will be aware, this can be a bit of a minefield at the moment to get yourself a rental property when you are on DSS because of the fact that there are a great many landlords who do not accept tenants on benefits. Reasons for this include changes to regulation that means landlords are no longer paid a tenants' housing benefit directly by councils. There are also an abundance of renters not on benefits, which many will see as simply more straightforward. However, there are ways to make sure that you can still find somewhere. If you use the search function on Zoopla's website, for example, you can input all your criteria and search for options such as "benefits accepted" in the keywords box. Alternatively, get in touch with the local council, which will hold a list of landlords who accept housing benefits and DSS. Thanks, Scott
