Where should I buy a house that will let consistently

Where should I buy a 4+ bedroom house for less than 400k that has the best chance of being let consistently? I may want to live there one day too, which is why I'm opting for 4+ bedrooms rather than a 1 or 2 bedroom property. I'm an expat living overseas so hope to come back to UK in the next few years and have the safety net of a property that I can live in with my family if need be. Thanks in advance.

  • Hi - there are a number of areas across the UK you could buy a property that would rent consistently for that price. Have you looked into any specific regions in particular? Also, will you be purchasing for cash?

  • Anywhere in the UK can let consisently so I would be more precise with your question and be noted that you should not simply be looking for a house under the rainbow but someone that's also suitable for your money. I much prefer to be some locality to the property to ensure everything is running smoothly. With that being said, I would look at the main commuter links and schools. The price will be higher in hot spot locations, but you can often be assured that your property will get looked after.
