  • It often says on the website, or the specific property, as to whether a property accepts students or not. You could always send a message asking if students are accepted.

  • Hi Rargent18, If you are looking at a specific property for this enquiry, then your best option will be to contact the agent in question, as they will be able to tell you whether the home is suitable for students to share. Unfortunately, it is not just as simple as whether or not a landlord will accept students sharing a flat or a house as to whether you can take out the tenancy, as there are a number of different things that also need to be considered. For example, when there are three or more people sharing a tenancy, there are far stricter regulations. In these cases, landlords need to be providing more smoke alarms, fire doors, and having boilers safety checked to be allowed to rent to more people. It is therefore best to check and see if students are permitted before you put an offer in on a rental property. Many thanks, Scott
