Is it a good investment to buy a student pod?

I am looking for information on buying a student room in a building for students. What type of ownership is this? I think it's not entirely private property, as it is in a common building with other common use rooms and there is a dependence on it. Is it profitable to buy such property, given that service fees are half of the annual income. I am asking for advice, please. Thank you

  • It can be, but there are a lot of risks with this type of investment. I would say spend a lot of time analysing factors like local demand, student intake levels, void potential, the experience of the developer... I would also approach the local student union to ask them about whether there will be real demand for these types of pods
