Restrictions on rentals in Isle of Man/Guernsey ?

I am a UK citizen looking to relocate to the Isle of Man or Guernsey to work (as a self-employed teleworker) and soon retire. I recently found that Jersey has strict restrictions for would-be property renters. You have to be locally employed to rent anything other than a hotel room or vacation villa. How about the Isle of Man and Guernsey? Are there any similar restrictions? Thank you very much.

  • As far as i'm aware there are no restrictions on renting property in the Isle of Man. There are restrictions on working there and in the majority of cases you will require a work permit. Have a look at this link, or contact IOM Govt directly to enquire with regards to rental terms and conditions
