Employer references for renting
I am thinking of selling my house and then renting. There will be equity; however, I will be leaving my present job when I move. Will proof of equity be enough or will I need an employer reference to rent?

An employers reference would certainly help but most landlords will also look at your credit file (and may request a guarantor). Many want to see signs that you are earning income on a regular basis.
