Renting without a guarantor

My family and I are being threatened with homelessness from Kettering Northamptonshire. We are trying to rent a property but we can't get a guarantor. We can offer first 2 months in advance for a property 5 to 600pcm. Do you have any landlords who would consider us? We've never had a private landlord before, only council house. If that would be a problem, please take into consideration I need to keep up with rent payments as we are expecting a baby soon and can't afford to be homeless so if the rent was any higher, I would struggle to cover it.

  • Hello - yes, I'm sure there are landlords out there that can help. I would suggest speaking to as many lettings agents as you can and also contact your council to see if they know of any available properties. Also, how is your credit rating? As long as it has no major marks on it, you may not even need to have a guarantor. Feel free to post here again - happy to help...
