Best areas to move to in Hull.

Moving from a Huddersfield to Hull due to work opportunity. I have little knowledge of the area. Considering these locations: Kingswood (heard it's modern but floods) Sutton Park (told its an elderly area) An area at the bottom of 'Beverley Road' near the Tescos Willerby (although pricey) Willerby Road Cottingham (heard its nice, good shops but gets rough on a night, and is close to a very bad area) Anlaby Bricknell Avenue (seems fantastic, although it seems to have no community e.g. pubs, shops) Priory Rd (Same as Bricknell) Spring Bank West (looks a bit busy) Hessle and Pickering Road All info from family who live in Selby and regularly visit Hull. As you can see (based on my possible locations) i do not want to be in the East of the city, as my work is in Hessle. Could you rank the areas / give more info / give other areas in a similar price range. (or cheaper as long as nice) Family have already suggested Swanland, Ferriby, Kirk Ella etc. but I cannot afford lol

  • Hello - Hopefully someone local to Hull will be able to to give you something more definitive - but, in the mean time, if you Google "Property Wizza 2.0", "Property Detective", "Street Check", "Find a Hood" and "UK Local Area" you should find some useful information.

  • In my opinion the best areas are located in West Hull villages. If you are locating to work in Hessle then this is a good start. The A63 from North Cave to South Cave to Brough to Welton to North Ferriby and Hessle offer a vast array of housing prospects. All are a short commute and all offer a rural aspect to 'City' living. Good Luck!.
