  • Hi ElegantChaos, At the moment, although the market is picking up a little, it is still struggling to return to the health that we used to see in it, so it can be quite slow at first. What you could look at is how it is being marketed and ensure this is as good as it possibly can be. Try adding more pictures to your advertisement, as well as all the information you can such as the distance to local bus stops, how far away shops are, and anything else you can think of. Aside from this, it's just a waiting game I'm afraid. The market is volatile these days and it tends to go up and down, dependent on various conditions. It is very hard to predict how long a home will sit on the market. Many thanks, Scott

  • You have probably sold your property by now ( at least I hope you have), but if you ever get in the same position again consider that there are two common denominators in the successful sale of ANY property : The first is making sure that you are using the right agent - one with a track record for selling your type of home, who is good at attracting buyers to your own home through excellent marketing and who operates in your price range. The second factor is the price. If the price is set at the right level buyers will be attracted to it (regardless of such factors as location, size etc) Everything else, in my view, is window dressing!
