Accidental Landlord looking to sell - Whats my options?

I'm an accidental landlord and currently have my property rented out and have a very good tenant. However, i would like to sell as its costing me too much money to pay the mortgage and pay rental costs at the place i'm actually living. What are my options? Does anyone have advice on what i can do?

  • It will depend on how long is left on your rental agreement. Get your tennant on side and allow the property to be sold whilst they are still iving there however unless you sell to someone who wants to rent it out you can not exchange contracts until the tennant has vacated so potentially your property could be empty for a while. Use an agent who has a good lettings business as they may have existing landlords looking to expand their portfolio and purchase your property with the tennant in situe
