When is the busiest time of year for properties to be put on the market?

We are just wondering what time of year is busiest for properties being put up for sale? We've found a few properties that we are interested in at the moment, but wondering whether we should wait until after Easter to see whether many more properties might be available?

  • Now! A lot of movement is in the first few months of the year, spring is a great time to market as gardens look better and there are more daylight hours.

  • If you are selling to buy another property do it now as there is no 'busiest' time in this current market and what you lose on the roundabouts you will gain on the swings. However, If you are selling and NOT buying another, best advice is "don't sell"... rent till the market improves otherwise you will incur what could amount to substantial loss.. in the pink

  • Best time to sell is in warmer weather, spring/summer time. Most people want to move in the better weather, so those trying to sell or buy will look harder in this period. The mark et is slow, but then it has been for years now. So if you are wanting to move, price competitively and it will happen if it goingg to happen, and if it doesn't, don't sweat it and stay put. There will come a time when prices rise again and then buyers will have to stump up more cash! Good day to you. P M

  • Now. Spring is the best time, people feel happier and ready for a change now the winter is behind us. I marketed my flat last month and have received an offer this weekend. Good luck.
