Estate agency photos

Hi I live in an upstairs flat of a terraced property of only 2 flats (upstairs and downstairs). I own the freehold of the whole building with the downstairs being held by the occupants on a 999 year lease. The downstairs property have their flat on the market and their estate agent has taken a photo of the entrance to my house as advertised it for downstairs. There are 2 separate entrances which are very clear and apart from each other. I have asked their estate agent to remove the picture of my front door and insert the correct picture for the downstairs flat front door. I am also trying to sell my property so both out frontage photos at the moment are exactly the same which is confusing possible buyers. The flat downstairs is in a terrible state, mine is completely renovated. Do I have the right to ask their estate agent to remove the photo I believe it is misleading and misrepresentative of the flat downstairs when the picture is that if my front door. Help please

  • Hi JK, You do have the right to do this and the agent should not delay as it is misrepresenting. If they refuse, get on to Trading Standards. Jonathan :)
