  • Hi, There are plenty of choice online for EPC companies. They all produce the same report and I have seen prices vary from £30 up to £90! Click on either of these links below, they are the accreditation agencies that train energy assessors and I'm sure you will find a local assessor through them easily enough. Mark

  • I would use the same company who carry out your floor plans to get the most competitive deal.

  • To be completely honest, all EPC companies offer you the same end result. Therefore there is no reason why you should not shop around for the cheapest deal. I hope that helps.

  • I’m just going to add that the two other answers here are quite brief and not really very helpful. Not all EPC companies are the same, a good company will be prompt, courteous and provide the report to the client within a good timescale. As the floor plan comment... Why would the everyday public use a floor plan company? Usually that's the agents job. So the floor plan company is not the right route in this instance, unless of course they have instructed an agent to market their home and that agent recommends the floor plan company. Mark

  • Other factors you should think about are: if your EPC surveyor is local, registered and can deliver your Certificate to your timescales.Large National EPC firms usually demand payment upfront.Do not pay in advance of the surveyor visit. A local, dependable EPC should cost £39 - £50.00 TOTAL.
