  • Hi djk1953, In order to place an ad on Zoopla, you will need to be registered with a lettings agent, as the company does not allow private landlords to rent out their houses or flats on their own. To get in on this market, then, you will need to get out and about and visit lettings agents in your area who will be able to tell you what they offer in terms of management - some will be more hands-on than others so it depends what level of help you want. You will need to pay for this obviously, but it has benefits; one of which being that you are able to gain an air of authority from advertising through an agent. This gives you a far better chance of finding tenants and gaining a contract to start earning from your flat. Many thanks, Scott

  • Hi, I always get a result in local papers but recently used an agent for first time on a find a tenant only basis. Had a result in 2 days: Yes it cost me 2 weeks rent but it saved me a lot of hassle and checks are done for me too.

  • Hi. You can't advertise on zoopla (or rmove) without an agent unfortunately. If you are looking for a low cost option that gives you control of your property, such as meeting prospective tenants and choosing who to let to, why not consider an online letting agent? We have tenant find services starting from £39+vat. Please feel free to contact me for more information. Best wishes, Eleanor 03300 883973, The Online Letting Agents
