Does previously listed and/or marketed mean the owner has taken the property off the market?

  • Hi Agyewaa, Previously listed or marketed does not mean that the property has been taken off the market at the current time, and in most cases it will mean that it is still there. What it does mean is that the home has previously been up for sale but went unsold and the seller took it off the market for an unspecified time for any number of reasons. At the current time, it is quite common for a person to take their home off the market, largely because it can be the case that with confidence as low as it is, they will sit unsold for months and months without anyone even coming to see them, meaning that owners will be fed up paying estate agents fees and would rather try again later at another date to see if the market has picked up. Thanks, Scott

  • So are you able to approach them and let them know you'd be interested in buying if it came back on the market?
