Topping the chart this month is Laynston House which, despite its outward Georgian appearance, dates from the 1930s. Inside, this vast home has been restored and expanded to include perks such as an annex with indoor leisure complex, and all-weather tennis court.

2. Six-bedroom detached house in Hingham, Norwich, for £750,000

How about this for character? The Norwich farmhouse, which took second place in June, is bursting with charming features including inglenook fireplaces, exposed beams and a rustic oak staircase. There’s also a bespoke handmade kitchen and self-contained annex that could potentially be rented out.

4. Seven-bedroom detached house in Fetcham, Surrey, for £2.7m

Built in 2016, this mega-mansion comes with no less than five cavernous reception rooms and six ensuite bedrooms. Given its £6m price tag, we’re assuming it’s the fairy tale element of 16th Century Craigcrook Castle which made it the 5th most clicked on property in June. The Grade B listed home has also attracted the attention of a plethora of famous writers over the years, with Charles Dickens, Hans Christian Anderson, George Eliot and Alfred Lord Tennyson all having visited.

6. Six-bedroom detached house in Epsom, Surrey, for £2.3m

The third Surrey home to make it into the top 10 is this vast mansion that backs onto the lush fairways of the Royal Automobile Club and Country Club.
