London Fashion Week kicks off this Friday. So, to keep on the pulse, we've found some achingly cool homes for sale up and down the country.

1. One-bedroom houseboat in Hoxton, London, for £178,000

Moored in the hipster hotspot of Hoxton in Shoreditch, this Viking Wide Beam houseboat has just been given a super-cool interior makeover (pictured above). While the £178,000 price tag seems appealing, you'll need to factor in mooring costs of £8,580 a year.

Available via Peach Properties

2. Three-bedroom terraced house in Salford, Greater Manchester for £330,000

Looking for an trendy urban pad near the beating heart of Manchester? This contemporary home offers lofty ceilings, dual aspect views and – in the words of the selling agent – windows you can stand in. It's also available under the Government’s Help to Buy Scheme.

Available via Urban Splash

3. Four-bedroom detached house in Epworth, South Yorkshire, for £400,000

With bright pops of yellow against its dark cladding, and bold orange and green furnishings, this Scunthorpe home makes a statement both inside and out.  As well as four bedrooms, the £400,000 price tag stretches to a cool basement with games room.

Available via William H Brown

4. Four-bedroom end-terrace house in Letheringsett, Norfolk, for £495,000

This trendy converted cottage and barn was redesigned in 2012 for a pair of artists. Set against a light uber-modern décor with huge picture windows, the old timber beams, open fire and exposed stone walls give away the property’s 19th century heritage.

Available via The Modern House

5. Three-bedroom semi-detached house in South Acton, London for £1.3m

A magistrate’s court from the 1800s doesn’t scream cool. But when it's been converted into an urban west London urban home with roof terrace, it's a different story. The bathroom alone (pictured) would put its owner right up there with the fashion elite.

Available via Urban Spaces

6. Six-bedroom detached house in Worplesdon, Surrey, for £2m

The gorgeous Surrey home may look new, but it dates to the 1950s – an era of architectural design that’s right back in style. The original fireplace and a retro bubble chair are among its throwback features. And best of all, it's just had a whopping £250,000 knocked off the asking price.

Available via Seymours - Prestige Homes

7. Four-bedroom terraced house in Portobello Road, London, for £2.35m

The vibrancy of west London’s Portobello Road, with its market and boutique shops, spills over into this colourful home. The sky light from the master bedroom opens out onto a vast roof terrace (pictured) complete with model cow and shark. More practical perks include a private gated parking space.

Available via Hamptons International
