Proving that his flamboyant tastes have been there from the start, the former Changing Rooms star recalls the quirky first home he bought in south London.

The TV star had this to say to Zoopla about starting life on the property ladder with wife, Jackie.
“We bought a very elegant little mansion flat in Streatham,” he says. “It had a view of the next door Constitutional Club Bowling Green which meant that after very boozy lunches we could sit at the window as if we were in a grandstand and treat lawn bowling as if it was an Olympic sport.
“But we loved it. It had an entirely panelled-oak lift as if some kind of strange Agatha Christie murder experience was about to take place.”
