Hilton Smythe are delighted to present to the market the Bay Cafe, established for a number of years and purchased by our client in sept 2017. Due to family reasons the business is being reluctantly now sold.

The well-known cafe attracts an excellent mix of loyal locals, local business owners, workmen, builders and contractors, tourists to the area and holiday parks, as well as walkers. The holiday park season begins in Easter and extends to the end of September with a 50% increase to footfall in the area. There is also a regular trip of bikers passing directly outside on the busy A259.

Our client offers an excellent choice of freshly cooked breakfasts, breakfast sandwiches, hot and cold drinks, daily specials including chicken nuggets, burgers, cottage pies and steak pies with mash or chips, all to eat in or takeaway. They have recently introduced a Sunday lunch menu which is proving very popular with local residents.

Our client has spent time and money updating the decor and equipment. Adding social media and a website could also help create awareness of what was a previously traditionally run cafe.

Meats and breads are delivered from local suppliers as well as stock items purchased from bookers.

There is lots of potential to add to the seaside and seasonal visitors with opportunity to add ice cream, sweets, seaside novelties including buckets and spade, rock etc. There is also a large number of elderly residents in the area who would appreciate a meal on wheels service, Sunday lunches and early dinner menus.
