Hilton Smythe welcomes to the market Tessall Lane Cafe.
There has been a cafe on this site for the last 37 years or so, and during that time is has become a well-used and popular destination for the local residents. The current owners have run the business successfully for the last 5 ½ years or so but are now selling albeit reluctantly and with a heavy heart only so that the can concentrate on their other business interests.
Tessall Lane Cafe is a cafe serving freshly prepared food that has been made on the premises using local ingredients wherever possible and offers an extensive menu including;
•Teas, coffee and cold drinks
The business has lots of regular customers many of whom are known on a first name basis by the current owners who are popular and well-respected members of the local community.
Scope to improve
1.Advertising and marketing campaign, perhaps a leaflet drop locally
2.Maximise the use of social media particularly Facebook and Twitter
3.Website ideally with an online ordering facility
4.Extend the opening hours, currently only trading over 5 days
5.Develop the outside catering side of the business particularly corporate
6.Introduce a sandwich round delivering to local businesses
7.Offer a Sunday Roast, lots of older residents who would find useful
8.Increase signage on main road, perhaps with the use of large a-boards
9.Explore online offerings from Just Eat and Hungry House.
Hilton Smythe highly advise early viewing to avoid disappointment.
