General Information

Business

The Tally Ho is a successful business in its own right having been purchased by the community when sold as a freehold in 2014. The Tally Ho has been the inn at the heart of the village for around 500 years and is now a popular meeting place for friends and neighbours as well as hosting a steady stream of visitors from far and wide.

The community has re-energised the public house over the last four years and it is now a successful business once more. The business has previously been run under management. The committee has now decided to let the pub on a new lease, providing an incoming tenant with a fabulous opportunity to take an established business with the prospect of growing trade further. The community shareholders have deliberately kept the ingoing premium and guide rent at a low level, in order to attract someone who will do the pub justice.

Business Continued

The Tally Ho currently trades with a healthy split in trade of approximately 55% food/ 45% wet sales. The Tally Ho is closed on Mondays and does not serve food on Sunday evenings. Turnover for the year end February 2018 was £224,297 ex VAT.

For the third year running the Tally Ho has again been voted ‘Runner up’ in the South Devon camra Pub of the Year.

Further trading profit and loss accounts will be provided to bona fide interested parties following a formal viewing through the Sole Selling Agents, Bettesworths.
