There are also now summer ferries to Ardrossan and a passenger ferry to Northern Ireland. There are excellent sporting and recreational facilities, including the Machrihanish Golf Course, Machrihanish Dunes Golf Course and two fine Golf courses nearby at Southend and Carradale, a swimming pool, library, gym and an excellent harbour and sheltered anchorage in the Loch. There is a yacht pontoon facility at the Harbour.
