To the east of the city is an international airport offering commuter flights to London City Airport.

From Exeter and the M5, follow signposting to Budleigh Salterton and Exmouth, following a short section of dual carriageway from Sandygate to Clyst St Mary roundabout, taking the third exit onto the A376 dual carriageway. Proceed for about three miles in a southerly direction until reaching the roundabout at Clyst St George, taking a left hand turning signposted Budleigh Salterton and Woodbury, onto the B3179 and proceed through the village of Woodbury and continue out of the village and take the right hand turning towards Budleigh Salterton. At the top of the hill, turn right onto the B3179 continue for about three miles, passing several right hand turnings for Exmouth. On reaching a roundabout, take a left hand turning signposted Budleigh and follow the road towards the town centre and Northview Road can be found on the right hand side. Having turned right, proceed up the hill and Hansard House can be found on the left hand side.
