The Roseland The Roseland Peninsula, designated an Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty, is both the dream 'escape to the country' area to live, and an enduring holiday destination. The area is the perfect combination of glorious countryside, dramatic coastline, harbour villages and family friendly beaches. The picturesque village of Veryan with its famous Round Houses and range of amenities is just over a mile away, and the elegant sailing resort of St Mawes is nine miles distant. The Property The cottage is believed to date to the early to mid 1800's and was thought to be a pair of cottages, hence the inglenook fireplaces in both the dining room and sitting room. Both rooms are well proportioned with relatively good height ceilings for a cottage of this age and style. The old stone outbuilding in very well preserved and even contains the period stone work from the old copper boiler, although the copper boiler itself is long gone! Garden The gardens to side and rear are southerly facing and mainly laid to lawn with some attractive borders and hedging including a wonderful Cornish stone hedge. There is also an old stone outbuilding with pitched slate roof and the original stonework for the old copper boiler, along with a greenhouse for the 'green fingered'.
