Woodland Walk is the independent living part of Oxford Beaumont Care Community's highly regarded retirement complex, set in an exceptionally scenic area of high net worth properties just a few miles from Oxford. The one bedroom houses provide roomy accommodation with courtyard gardens that are easy to manage by oneself if desired, but alternatively all the benefits of on-site care can be provided if desired. Surrounded by landscaped and lawned gardens, the development is peaceful and well managed. It is also adjacent to a beautiful area of open land running to several hundred acres of what was once a golf course, a wonderful area to walk with views over the dreaming spires of Oxford. There is also a bus stop nearby with regular services to Oxford. Access for relatives is equally easy with M40 and A34 nearby as well as several mainline stations within just a few miles.

To directly quote the Beaumont's own website:

"Oxford Beaumont provides a happy and relaxed lifestyle in the heart of Boars Hill, with its scenic surroundings. Oxford city is close-by for shops, cafes and The New Theatre. Nonetheless our extensive gardens are quiet and peaceful, giving the home a feeling of space and tranquility.

We offer a homely environment and the support of high quality 24-hour nursing care, helping to manage disabilities such as Parkinsons disease and sensory impairment. We provide personally tailored levels of care, helping people to enjoy life with support but as independently as possible."

A focus on meeting the needs of individuals is vital to the healthy, well-balanced life style we want all the people we support to enjoy. Our emphasis on person-centred care and varied range of activities ensures that daily living is pleasurable and rewarding. We are proud of the quality of our home cooking, hospitality and housekeeping, which minimise the worries of everyday living and leave time to enjoy relaxation and hobbies. Our minibus can often be seen around the area taking residents on enjoyable outings or just meandering around the quaint Oxfordshire villages on mystery tours."

The house itself is bright, airy, roomy and very secluded. A large double bedroom ensures those used to a larger house do not feel hemmed in or claustrophobic. Similarly, the living room is a good length at circa 16ft, and the glazing and door to the end flood in light from the dedicated terrace behind that also backs onto trees. Next door, the kitchen is immaculate and amply stocked with a range of units and also modern utilities. The shower room features a vast, walk-in shower that is modern and also includes a fitted seat for ease of use. Storage is well provided for with both a wardrobe in the bedroom and a large, walk-in hall cupboard. While independent of the main house, number one is close enough that a tug of an emergency cord sees help just a moment away.
