Par


Par is a village and fishing port with a harbour and beach on the south coast of Cornwall approximately 3.5 miles east of St Austell. The harbour was developed to serve the copper mines and other mineral sites in and surrounding the Luxulyan valley. China clay later became the dominant traffic as copper working declined and the harbour and the china clay dries remain as distinctive features of the industrial heritage; however, the mineral activity
is now much reduced.

Planning


Cornwall Council granted Planning Permission (Ref.PA10/05190) for conversion of the disused barns into 3 dwellings at Penpell Farm, Par, St Austell, PL24 2SA on 23rd March 2011. The Council had notification of
commencement of works on 18th March 2014 A subsequent planning application (Ref. PA17/01327) was approved on 16th May 2017 for re-design of the existing approval to convert the disused barns into 2 detached dwellings, new package treatment plant and associated parking, amenity areas and landscaping. Copies of the plans and planning permission are available upon request from the agents.
