Business Overview

The business is operated from a quirky single storey shop unit with frontage to Huddersfield Road. It also features a secondary display window to the Cooper Lane which in its own right has a strong presence from Huddersfield Road.

Alongside the core stock of greetings cards, the business is Holmfirths sole stockist of Yankee Candles a particularly strong selling line. It also offers a number of other related products including reed diffusers, incense sticks, bath and body products.

It is well equipped with display shelving and racking for higher value products such as candles and a sales counter in the main sales area at the front of the building. The secondary sales area deals mainly with cards and is again fitted out with display racking. There are staff kitchenette and toilet facilities at the rear of the shop. Additional storage is provided in the side passage area and in a small loft space.

The shop opens 7 days a week and is predominantly owner operated with the assistance of additional family members working on weekends.
