Property description

Wander into this stylish, spacious and centrally located Victorian terraced house, and see why we think it is ideal for anyone looking for a home for their growing family. The ground floor is a wonderful space, with open plan lounge/diner, stripped floors, cast iron Victorian fireplace and bay window that allows light to fill the room. The kitchen, which has contemporary fitted units and appliances, has side access to the garden, providing outdoor space to enjoy as soon as the days warm up. The style continues upstairs, with a modern family bathroom and two good sized bedrooms. Ascend to the second floor and you will discover two further bedrooms (one with an en suite shower room), as well as fantastic rooftop views across the local area. A great family house, just waiting for its next family to call it home…

Guide Price: £675,000 - £725,000.

Living Here...

Equidistant to both Walthamstow Central and St James Street stations, and thus within walking distance of the High Street as well, this lovely family home is perfectly placed whatever your plans. Get the kids on their bikes, grab the lead for the dog, and head down to St James Park, where there is plenty of space for the little ones (and the canine ones too!) to burn off any excess energy. If you fancy travelling further afield, then head over to the Marshes or the new Wetlands Centre, both of which offer wide open spaces and the possibility to see wildlife in the heart of the city. If all that sounds too energetic, why not wander up the High Street and take in a movie (we hear the new Paddington film is a hoot!) and maybe grab a bite to eat afterwards at one of the many restaurants in The Scene or on Hoe Street. Whatever your choice, the location of this house puts it within easy reach…

In This Area - By Walthamstow Diary

Get off the tube at Walthamstow Central and find the world waiting for you. Honestly, this is no exaggeration - if you want something, you’ll likely find it not too far from the station. The market, the longest in Europe, is busy and thriving. Pick up fresh fruit and veg, or visit the rotisserie stall on a Saturday for the best pork or chicken baguettes in town. Next to the market we have a shopping centre packed with high street names, and right at the top of the High Street you’ll find our new cinema and retail complex. Called The Scene, it is home to a ten screen Empire cinema, Pizza Express, and loads of other bars and restaurants. Just around the corner from this new cinema, is a very old one. The Granada opened in 1930, and after a long campaign by local residents it has recently reopened as a bar and live music venue. Now called Mirth, Marvel & Maud, this building is simply stunning. The hustle and bustle of the High Street is contrasted by the quiet residential streets that surround it. This part of Walthamstow really gives you the best of both worlds, a shopping hub, nightlife, and peace and quiet at home.
