There is also a well-regarded primary and high school, and in the independent sector nearby schools include Brandeston Hall, Framlingham College, and Woodbridge School. There are a number of attractions in the area, including Framlingham Castle, Minsmere Bird Reserve and the Suffolk Heritage Coast which is about 20 miles away. The popular market town of Stowmarket offers a rail service from Stowmarket to London Liverpool Street via Ipswich, taking approximately 85 minutes
