Built by the King family in 1860 for the people of Odiham and known as The Assembly Rooms, the ground floor of the building was initially a corn exchange. Until 1938, when it was declared unsafe as a public building, the Assembly Rooms were the centre of Odihams social scene hosting Farmers' Balls, the Odd Fellows and Foresters Jubilee in 1893, concerts, entertainments, travelling shows, magic lantern and film shows, dances and lectures. Charlotte Terrace was converted into residential properties in 1988.
