Dearham is a village and in the civil parish of Allerdale district of Cumbria, England. The village lies about 2 miles (3.2 km) east of Maryport and 4 1⁄2 miles (7.2 km) west of Cockermouth. According to the 2011 census it had a population of 2,151 at the 2011 Census. It is a large, well spaced village. The village has a small primary school which is highly rated with approximately 253 children on roll, and a nursery with approximately 26 children on roll. There is a church There are two public houses: The Old Mill Inn, and The Commercial on the main road. A Village Store with Post Office on Central Road (Dearham po & Village Store), a fish and chip shop, a hairdresser, a petrol station and a locally renowned pie shop, "The Cottage Pie".

The majority of young people in Dearham attend Netherhall School, Maryport or Cockermouth School for their secondary schooling.
