Ampleforth College is one of the best known private co-ed schools in the area but there are a number of others nearby, including Cundall Manor, Queen Ethelburga's and Terrington, as well as state primary schools in Easingwold, Ryedale (Outstanding Ofsted March 2012) and Crayke (Outstanding Ofsted).
