The property comprises a small level to steeply sloping amenity wood (0.2 Hectares - 0.49 of an Acre) situate in the upper reaches of the 'Cywyn' River Valley, 1 mile west of the rural hamlet of Blaenycoed, some 3 miles west of the A484 and village of Cynwyl Elfed and is some 8 miles north-west of the County and Market town of Carmarthen and A40 trunk road.

The Wood benefits from a hardcored entrance drive which joins a quiet unclassified Class III council maintained district road with the eastern half of the wood comprising wet Alder and Willow woodland that adjoins the 'Cywyn River' with the western area being a drier Oak Bluebell sloping wood.

Applicants should note that there is a 'Right of Way' over the hardcored entrance drive that leads to the Wood beyond and to the north of the property.

Continue down this single track council maintained lane past the bungalow continuing down the hill past 'Pencaerau Mawr' farmhouse and buildings into the dip.
