The land

The land is accessed off Quarry Lane, which is also a bridlepath, with a gated access. Part of the land on the north east side was historically part of the now disused Sheffield Quarry. Timber Field Shelter (12’ x 12’) which is open fronted, clad on three sides, earth floor, metal profile sheeted roof. There are two mains water troughs in the field.

In the lower part of the land is approx. 2.8 acres of moorland /croft land with gorse, bracken, alders, willows etc. This area provides a lovely natural habitat for wildlife and has conservation appeal. This area is registered as a County Wildlife Site and is Common Land. All of the land is comprised within an Area of Great Landscape Value.
