riverhomes is delighted to offer to the market this 75 ft. Dutch sailing barge measuring 22.8m x 3.5m and was built in 1916. The barge has been completely overhauled in 2009 but still maintains many of her original features and character.
The boat accommodation comprises; entering the wheelhouse from the deck, where the hydraulic steering is located, steps lead down to the aft cabin which has two single bunks and storage shelving. Following the steps down towards the main part of the boat, there is a bathroom with shower, sink, toilet and a washer/dryer and a corridor that leads into an amazing open space which is home to the large open-plan reception area and galley/kitchen with appliances and Corian worktops. The boat benefits from central heating and the living room has a wood burning stove to assure the boat is warm in the colder months and an abundance of windows providing lots of natural light. At the bow of the boat there is a large double bedroom with ample built in storage. There is a seating area at the stern of the boat where the current owners have laid artificial grass creating a small entertaining space on the boat.
The mooring is transferable and will be arranged by the marina directly. The dock also offers excellent transport links; Tower Hill Underground and Tower Gateway DLR Stations are a short walk away. There are also numerous restaurants and bars located within the marina offering residents and visitors a variety of options.
Unless riverhomes notifies you in writing, we are only selling this vessel and not the mooring. The rental of the mooring is by separate negotiation with the marina or mooring management, all prospective buyers should make their own enquiries with them directly to understand the ingoing costs and mooring fees payable by a new owner. Any mooring fees given here or verbally are approximate and intended as a guide only.
