Situation
Little Millbrex is situated in a peaceful rural setting, a short distance northeast of the village of Fyvie, in an area of Aberdeenshire renowned for its mixed arable and livestock farming practices. Fyvie (6 miles) is a thriving community and provides everyday services and facilities including primary school, health centre and convenience store. The market town of Turriff is 9 miles distant from Little Millbrex and provides a wider range of services and amenities including shops, supermarket, agricultural suppliers, sports centre, swimming pool, 18 hole golf course and secondary education provided at Turriff Academy. The town is also host to the annual Turriff Show, the largest two-day agricultural show in Scotland.

The surrounding area has an array of recreational opportunities for walking, trekking and sporting including the Formartine & Buchan way, a 53 mile route along the former railway line to the Banff & Buchan Coastline. The historic Fyvie Castle, a National Trust for Scotland property, is a popular local attraction with castle tours, tearoom and walks around a picturesque loch and garden grounds. The north east of Scotland is also famed for its Castle and Whisky trails.

The nearby A947 provides convenient commuting to Oldmeldrum, Inverurie and Aberdeen city which can be reached in under an hour (rush hour excepted). Aberdeen provides all the facilities befitting the acknowledged capital of the North Sea Oil Industry with theatre, two universities and shopping facilities far surpassing most other cities of its size. In addition, Aberdeen has a mainline railway station providing inter-city and sleeper services to the south and also an airport operating regular flights to London and other UK cities, as well as overseas destinations.
