It featured in a Channel 4 documentary about self-build houses and then again in a 2018 edition of the Homebuilders and Renovating magazine. The principal bedroom has a walk-in wardrobe, large en-suite bathroom and French doors to a private balcony with views over the neighbouring meadows. There are four further bedrooms and three further en suite bathrooms (one is a Jack and Jill).

Outside is a garage and workshop with steps up to a useful annexe on the first floor comprising a bedroom, sitting room, shower room and kitchen.
The garden, which wraps around the house, is mainly laid to lawn with mature planting and a sun terrace.

Privately situated, close to the River Hamble and about a mile from Bursledon station, The Croft is ideal for those who enjoy boating and an outdoor lifestyle.

There are three pubs in the vicinity - The Vine, Fox and Hounds and The Jolly Sailor pub which is about 0.6 mile away. Bursledon Infant and Junior Schools are under a mile away, and the secondary school is in Hamble.

Trains from Bursledon to Southampton take from 25 minutes, Southampton Airport is about 7.5 miles and the M27 (J8) about 1.3 miles. Distances and time approximate.
