It is set in a beautiful stretch of the South Devon coastline and is positioned at the end of a three mile stretch of beach known as Slapton Sands. Enclosed and protected by the beach, is a large freshwater lake and bird sanctuary. Torcross has a popular inn and restaurants. Nearby there is a popular farm shop specialising in growing and selling of home grown and locally produced food and drinks.
At The Beach is situated in the heart of the village of Torcross overlooking the beautiful freshwater lake popular for walkers and naturalists alike yet providing easy access to the towns of Dartmouth and Kingsbridge. The site enjoys a superb waterside scene overlooking the Ley but also being close to the sea and 1.6 miles to Slapton Sands. Slapton sands is wonderful beach well known in the area for its swimming and fishing. Dartmouth, famous for its historic port and boating amenities, is also home to the Britannia Royal Naval College. The town has excellent facilities for sailing, with deep water moorings, three marinas
and a number of boat yards. For the cruising yachtsman Dartmouth is the perfect base from which to explore France, The Channel Islands and the picturesque harbours and creeks of the West Country.
