Waterside Village

Waterside Village builds on the traditional values of a successful English Garden Village, providing open, green spaces within an urban environment. Garden villages were originally designed to provide well-planned, self-contained communities surrounded by countryside while containing a balance of residences, agriculture and industry. Waterside Village has been carefully developed with this theme in mind.

Waterside Village offers everyone, from young professionals to families and investors, the chance to be part of a great community.

With a tree-lined boulevard at the main entrance and a large public space incorporating a lake, the development is split into four charming neighbourhoods. Each neighbourhood has a mix of properties, from apartments and 1,2 and 3 bedroom mews homes to 4 and 5 bedroom homes. Close to Waterside Village you’ll find local primary and secondary schools.

Excellent transport links including a bus service running into Waterside Village, make it a prime location.

Location

A rich industrial heritage, combined with glorious nearby countryside makes St Helens one of the North West’s most unique towns.

Today, St Helens is in the midst of a cultural renaissance, with its own vibrant nightlife, including cinemas, music venues, bars and restaurants. And for those who like to shop, St Helens is one of the uk’s top town centres with a bustling high street, two indoor shopping centres and one of the largest retail parks in the country.

The surrounding area can be traced back to the Domesday Book (1086). However, the area was well and truly put on the map with the advent of the industrial revolution. This saw the borough produce a number of transport history firsts, including England's first industrial canal, the Rainhill Locomotive Trials and the first mainline passenger railway.

Though St Helens developed thriving coal, chemical and copper smelting industries, it was for its glass manufacturing that it established an international reputation, when Pilkington Brothers invented the Float Glass process. Today the multi-award winning World of Glass museum is one of the region’s most visited attractions.

As well as working hard, the area has always known how to play hard too. Sports fans can experience all the action of the world famous ‘Saints’ Rugby Super League club, premier horse racing at Haydock Park, power boat racing at Carr Mill Dam or enjoy around of golf at one of seven top golf courses.
