Stokesley is located between Middlesbrough, Guisborough and Northallerton in farming area and is surrounded by other small towns and villages, including Great Ayton, Great Broughton and Hutton Rudby.
Local attractions include Captain Cook's monument, Roseberry Topping and the North York Moors.
Stokesley has been a market town since it was granted its charter in 1223 by Henry III. The River Leven flows through the town until it joins the River Tees at Yarm. The Pack Horse Bridge crosses the river and dates back to the 17th Century.
Stokesley highstreet is lined with many independent shops and eateries. Other facilities leisure centre with swimming pool, health centre, police and fire station.
A weekly market day takes place every Friday and a monthly Farmers Market takes place on the first Saturday of every month. During the summer months car boot sales are held on the show field on Bank Holiday Mondays and an annual agricultural show and fair takes place in September.
The site is ideally located, overlooking the Cleveland Hills and within sight of Roseberry Topping for those looking for a picturesque retreat, a great base for walkers but also those who need easy access to major roads and facilities.
