Other local sports amenities include a wide choice of indoor and outdoor activities from cricket and football to squash and table tennis at Sandylands Sports Centre, and the Craven Swimming Pool and Fitness Centre’s main and learner pools and fully equipped gym.

Water Street Community Primary School, ten minutes’ walk from Corner Fields, was rated ‘outstanding’ by Ofsted, and there is an rc primary, St Stephen’s, just a little further away. The choice of secondary schools includes the co-educational Skipton Academy as well as single-sex grammar schools.
