McCarthy & Stone - Stow-on-the-Wold RL Plus, GL54
Stow-on-the-Wold is a much-loved market town in the Cotswolds. Our proposed development is ideally located and has everything available on-site or within easy walking distance.
There will be 20 one bedroom apartments and 24 two bedroom apartments available for those over 70, and all apartments will feature a fully fitted kitchen, bathrooms with heated towel rails and energy efficient heating. To make life a little easier, there are also raised height electrical sockets and an electric window in the kitchen. You'll also be treated to a walk-in wardrobe!
The development itself also has great amenities including an on-site restaurant, landscaped gardens and a private car park. There is a 24-hour emergency call system as well as 24-hour staff available if you need domestic assistance. For those with limited mobility, there are lifts to all floors and homeowners' lounge where you can relax or entertain guests.
Stow-on-the-Wold is a delightful town with a large and lively Market Square and a monthly Farmers Market. It's also an important shopping spot, with a variety of local boutiques and national stores. It's particularly known for its great antiques and is somewhere you can pick up some unique and unusual bargains. There are a number of restaurants to cater for any occasion, whether it's a formal event or simply some good old pub food.
Stow-on-the-Wold is also a base for exploring the Cotswolds countryside, and the nearby Hidcote Manor, Kiftsgate Court and Sezincote House. Cricket fans have to visit the Cricket Museum and its collection of artefacts, and the 11th century St Edward's Church is also worth checking out.
The town enjoys good public transport links – the highway runs through the Cotswolds from Warwick to Cirencester. A local bus service takes you around town and the nearest railway stations at Moreton in Marsh and Kingham can have you in London in just over an hour and a half.
If you are using a Sat Nav system you may need the full address of this development. The postcode is newly created by Royal Mail and may not be accurate for some months.
