Local area

A serene village found just west of Wolverhampton city centre (off the A41), Tettenhall is a beautiful place to live. As the A41 links Wolverhampton with Newport, Albrighton and the M54, owners will benefit from access to a range of prominent locations including Willenhall, Merry Hill, Codsall, Pendeford, Wombourne, Telford, Walsall, Dudley, Wednesbury, Penkridge and Darlaston.

Public transport links are also strong for those without their own mode of travel. Regular buses connect owners with Wolverhampton train station which offers connections to London with a travel time of just 1 hour 40 minutes. Birmingham is also easily reached from this train station, while locations even further afield can be easily reached with trains to Glasgow taking 3 hours 40 minutes.

For those content to explore the local area of Tettenhall, there are plenty of attractions to enjoy. The long and intriguing history of the village provides plenty of opportunity for exploration, with the museums and galleries of Wolverhampton combining with the National Trust properties of Moseley Old Hall and Wightwick Manor and Gardens to provide a cultural experience like no other.

These properties also benefit from being set in beautiful grounds – but the natural attractions of the area don't end there. West Park, which is found just North West of the city centre, is the perfect spot for relaxation and hosts the annual City Show where horsemen stunts, artillery displays, marquees, flower shows, vegetable shows and sheep shearing all take place. The park also contains a large boating lake that provides the perfect backdrop to a relaxing summer afternoon.

Wolverhampton Grand Theatre and the Civic Hall take care of locals' cultural interests with high profile stage productions, comedians and bands all treading the boards. A smaller venue known as The Arena also provides high quality drama and performance art at extremely reasonable prices. Finally, those with a keen interest in sport will love being within close proximity of the Molineux Stadium – home of Wolverhampton Wanderers – as well as having access to an all-weather racecourse.
