This larger than average and well maintained 4 bedroom two storey detached home is surrounded by unspoilt countryside and is located in a peaceful and private location but is within a short stroll of two local bars and the small village of Los Ventorros.
The property is tucked away up a short concrete road but you can easily stroll into the small hamlet of Los Ventorros or take the car and reach Comares in about 5 minutes. The views are glorious and the privacy and peace is guaranteed – this really is the best of both worlds!
The house also offers a degree of flexibility with the upper floor home to three bedrooms, a good size shower room and a separate WC whilst there is a further bedroom on the ground floor which is currently used as a dining room. If this room were used as a bedroom, there is a bathroom on the ground floor to service this room. There is a further shower/WC in the pool house which can be used when gardening or enjoying the pool.
One of the main features of the house is an entrance hallway and two floors of accommodation – this may not sound important but often country homes are entered straight into a living room or kitchen and there is a first floor landing which has access to a terrace with amazing views of the surrounding countryside and sea.
The house looks across the valley towards the sea and mountains – a different view during the year with the changing of the seasons and with a rocky backdrop to the house, you really feel surrounded by countryside.
The layout of the property provides plenty of flexibility – on the ground floor, you enter the house via the entrance hallway – this is home to the stairs to the first floor and below the stairs is a useful storage space. On the ground floor, you have a large living room with access to the front, south facing terrace, a well fitted kitchen, a bedroom (currently being used as a dining room) and bathroom (with full size bath and shower over).
The focal point in the living room is a lovely pellet burner – this fires the central heating throughout the house and also provides a lovely warmth to the living room. The cost of running this central heating is very economical and the pellet burner is serviced each year.
On the first floor there is a landing with access to the first floor terrace. There are three bedrooms on this level, a shower room (with WC) and a separate WC too.
Outside, there is a pool house which includes a shower, basin and WC as well as a utility area – keeping the main kitchen free of washing machine, tumbler dryer etc.
The formal garden area immediately around the house is fenced and this provides good security for children or animals. This area is also irrigated. The entrance driveway is concreted and has a gated entrance. The land extends outside of the fenced area and there are a variety of fruit trees on the land including a plum, pear, 2 apple trees, a lemon, an orange and lime, a fig tree, a nispero, a nectarine and 2 pomegranates! There are also a few olive trees.
There is a carport and parking for numerous cars.

Location – Los Ventorros and Comares
The property is situated just 450mtrs from the small village of Los Ventorros which in turn is just 5mins from the hilltop village of Comares. Los Ventorros benefits from two good bars/restaurants, an “Alladin’s cave” shop which has a huge variety of crafts and seasonal vegetables.
There is a bus service running from and through Los Ventorros which takes you to either the coast or Malaga – great for a day at the beach or a wander around Malaga city.
Comares is one of the highest “pueblos blancos” in Andalucía and is one of the easiest villages to see as it towers above the Axarquia region of Malaga. It can seem as though the village is isolated because of its height but it is less than an hour to Malaga and the airport and with Torre del Mar just down the road, it is well connected to the coastal motorway, the beautiful beaches and resorts of the Axarquia.
Within Comares, is a Coviran supermarket, a chemist and a doctor’s surgery – the doctor and the lady that runs the chemist both speak very good English.
There is also a market held in the town square most Saturday mornings.
The Axarquia is one of the most popular areas within the Malaga province – miles of beautiful coastline, coastal towns and resorts such as Torre del Mar and Velez Malaga give you plenty of shopping options, cultural events and of course beaches!
