The Regency homes of Brunswick Town hold an air of grandeur and an architectural beauty unlike any others in the city. This unique one-bedroom apartment sits within the rear section of a mid-terrace house spanning both the second and third floors with rooms linked by a spiral staircase. It is a bijou apartment, yet it offers fantastic value in this highly sought-after location and it would make a sound investment as a home or rental property. Being elevated on the upper floors gives it sensational views from both principal rooms which are filled with natural light from the west. There is plenty of scope to add further value with modernisation too.
With the boutique shops and cafes of Western Road just minutes away, as well as two commuter stations, and several popular parks; this apartment would suit professionals or commuters looking for a cool pad in a vibrant location close to the sea.

Why you'll like it:
Effortlessly elegant, the Regency townhouses of Brunswick Town have become integral to Brighton & Hove's unique identity as a cosmopolitan city of style and taste. They were the 'brain-child' of eminent architect Charles Busby as he hoped to replicate the distinguished Nash developments in London with their ornate balconies and columns. Although most of the houses have now been converted into apartments such as this one, they continue to attract people here from far and wide, almost 200 years later.
Residing half way up the western side of the terrace, this apartment is approached up some wide stone steps, and through a well-maintained communal hallway where sweeping stairs take you to your floor.
Your door opens to an entrance hall where there is space to hang coats and an under stairs cupboard housing the gas boiler with extra room for household items. The open plan living room is directly ahead with a tall sash window looking out over the rooftops of the local landscape and down towards the sea. The ceiling is high in here which adds to the feeling of space, and the kitchen has been built along one wall with storage rising up the wall. While the fridge, oven and electric hob have been integrated, space has been left for a washing machine and the butler sink has been fitted below the practical laminate worktops. Engineered oak flooring has been paired with white walls for a fresh and neutral finish and there is space for a small dining table and a sofa in here.
Taking the timber spiral staircase up to the bedroom level, there is a second entrance to the property which is useful for moving furniture in and out and is a safety aspect too in case of a fire as it leads out to the communal hallway. The bedroom is double with carpet underfoot, and the views only improve the further up the house you go with big, open skies lighting up with the sun as it sets in the west. Next door, the shower room has a tall cubicle, a basin and a WC, plus a heated rail for towels.

Agent's thoughts:
This would make a great investment as a rental, a sweet holiday let, or an ideal first step on the ladder.

Owner's secret
"I have lived here very happily for the last 10-years and cannot fault the area. In fact, it will be very hard to find somewhere else with such a fantastic sense of community and with the beach, parks and shops so close by. The flat is very peaceful for somewhere so central, and the sunsets never tire. I need somewhere with fewer steps now, but I will miss it here hugely."

Where it is:
Shops: Local 2 min walk, city centre 10 min walk
Train Station: Brighton and Hove Stations 15 min walk each
Seafront or Park: St Ann's Well 3 min walk, Seafront 4 min walk
Closest Schools:
Primary: Brunswick Primary School
Secondary: Hove Park, Blatchington Mill, Cardinal Newman rc
Private: Brighton College

This cool and eclectic apartment is perfectly situated in a popular area with lots of local shops and the beach is visible from the living room. The city centre shopping districts and parks are also within easy reach, and it also offers easy access to Brighton and Hove Stations which have direct and fast links to the airports and London.
