The property
Originally dating from the 17th Century this former granary was converted in the 1970’s. Sladdens Barn offers spacious and flexible living accommodation with exposed timber beams throughout. The ground floor briefly comprises a well-appointed kitchen/dining room with a range of base and wall units with oak worksurfaces, oven and space for fridge/freezer and dishwasher, a light and airy sitting room with French doors to boot room that overlooks the meadow and a utility room with plumbing for a washing machine. In addition there is a snug/4th bedroom with a door to the barn and en-suite shower room. The first floor continues to impress with a large triple aspect principal bedroom with views of the Church spire and immaculate gardens and doors to an external stone staircase. There are two further bedrooms, one with fitted wardrobes and the other with an en-suite bathroom with a roll top bath and heated towel rail, and a family shower room.
Outside
Sladdens Barn is approached via a private drive, sitting in a generous plot with walled and fenced gardens that wrap around the property. There is an expanse of lawn, mature hedging, flower borders, trees and a meadow to include Silver Birch and plum trees. The property further benefits from a double car barn with overhead storage, a potting shed, generous parking and a breathtaking stone barn with flagstone floor and impressive roof trusses with potential to convert subject to the necessary planning consents.
